An apology...

Sorry to everyone I roped into this photo challenge...please forgive me! 

I didn't realize that when I started this I would not only be working 50+ hours a week (I was on vacation when I initially started this), being a full time student (requires me to write a 3 page paper every week for 4 weeks and then an 8 page paper on the 5th week), planning (and packing) for our Disney vacation, being a full time mom (to an unpatient 3 year old) on top of everything else that I deal with daily!!  So I am just gonna say that I am taking an extended leave from this photo challenge but I promise I will finish when I return from vacation. 

This may be the last post you see from me for a couple of weeks unless I get a wild hair and post from Disney World just to show you how much fun we are having (sorry Haley and Kiki)!!

On a more serious note...I just need to vent for a minute.

How can any one person not have one bit of emotion in their bones?!  I don't know how to talk to someone like that...I don't know how to even deal with someone like that.  If you have ever been around me or my sisters then you know what I mean.  We show every emotion from crying with sympathy for someone else's pain to laughing our heads off at one of our stupidest moments. 

It is so frustrating to me...I invest so much into having relationships with people only to be looked at like I am an idiot.  I try to do what I can to be an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, a person to laugh with...and I get nothing.  Without emotion there can be no connection.  Without trust then there can be no relationship.  Without both involved giving then there can be no friendship...you are just throwing it all away for no reason but pure stubborness.  If you don't open yourself up to the possibility of friendship then you can never experience the true joy of having it. 

To this person:

You are such a beautiful person on the outside but without beauty on the inside it doesn't matter.  My words may not always come out right and my frustration may take over but please know that you are  a huge part of my life.  Keeping secrets and closing yourself off will only hurt you in the long run.  I am tired of going round and round with you.  I have been where you are and I am only trying to tell you to stop and look around.  Realize what is important to you before it is too late.  Let people know you care about them...not just with words but true sincerity in your words and actions.  Don't just tell us what we want to hear but be honest with us.  If you can't trust that we will be here no matter what then you are going to be a very lonely and miserable individual one day.  Everything I have done and am doing is only because I love you and don't want to see you doing something you can't take back.  I am laying this down...you know where I stand and you know what you need to do in order to get things to where they need to be.  Remember I am not mad but hurt.

Now only talk of Disney World...

And, yes I know that you probably think what kind of twisted people

take pleasure out of seeing Lucas be tortured by LeAnne.  If you see what 

his reaction is to this then you can only imagine what we see in person!!

and it makes me realize how much I have to be thankful for.

So it truth be told I am a reality tv junkie!!  My favorite shows are really Dancing with the Stars, The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Survivor, Amazing Race, and more.  I couldn't really put the cast of one of these shows on here cause they are constantly changing.  Only the host really remains the same.  However, I am a huge Grey's fan along with many more.  I love to watch television!

The vacation is coming to an end...

...I only have two more days off...boo!  I don't know what Wilkins is gonna do when I go back to work because she has been so attached to me this time.  She doesn't want to go to anyone, she doesn't want anyone to take her potty or fix her something to eat.  I have really seen a difference in her this time...it is like she has gotten so much older in the past 7 days.  Things she is saying and doing...let's just say it really amazes me.  She is really turning into a smart (almost to much) little lady.  I can't believe that my baby will be 3 in just a little over a month.

On another note...I am super excited about all of you that have started the 30 Day Photo Challenge.  I have read everyone's so far (even your's Lacey) and I can't wait to see what pictures you all post.

A person(s) you have been closest to the longest

I know it says a person but I have 3 people that I have been close to my entire life.

My mom drives me absolutely nuts sometimes and we don't always see eye to eye.  She is also the woman that has and always be there for me no matter the circumstances.  She is the reason I am the person I am today.  We aren't the lovey dovey family that tells each other how much we love each other but we know we can always count on each other. 

LeAnne, only 13 months younger than me, is a thorn in my side a lot of the time but she is also the person that can come up with the craziest offhanded comments that will have you doubled over laughing.  I would like to strangle her sometimes cause if you make plans with LeAnne you better not change them!!  She is also the person you call if you are sick and need someone to take care of you.  She is the person we call if we need some serious deep cleaning done...you just gotta love her though!

Haley, the baby of us all, is the person I probably tell everything to and will give me the straight truth whether I like it or not.  She is definitely the "baby"...if she ain't happy then none of are happy!! LOL  Haley likes to be in the middle of everything and if you don't answer your phone when she calls then she will call everyone until she finds you!! 

If you see one of us you normally see all four of us especially if it has anything to do with going out to eat...unfortnately we are followed by 7 little kids now so you better RUN!!!

Day 4...oh how the time flies...

My vacation is getting closer to the end than I want it to.  I was a little more productive today than yesterday but not much!

My creative bone got the better of me today.  I ended up making Wilkins and Addy 3 bracelets each to match 3 of their outfits for Disney World.  I had bought the beads on Saturday to match the material we picked out.  Making bracelets is a good stress reliever for me and today I had a lot on my mind. 

I have some things that I need worked out for everyone involved.  I just want the best outcome for everyone involved in these few things so anyone who thinks of me say a little prayer.

We did get Haley out of the house for about an hour or so tonight.  Anyone who knows Haley knows that she likes to go, go, go...well I guess that is all of us really.  Anyway she is going stir crazy stuck in the house for the past couple of weeks so we helped her escape to Cozumel (not Mexico...lol just the restaurant)!

The real highlight day was Wilkins again with her clothes or should I say shoes this time!  They were too tight so we had to go with the jelly boots (rain boots) that she wears all the time.  It basically boils down to the fact that she had to wear socks with her tennis shoes which she hates to wear!  She has to wear them with her boots too but they don't bother her as bad.  As soon as she gets home the shoes and socks come off...ugghhh!!!  On top of that the blue jeans she had on was hurting her belly button...really?!!  I don't know if I will have enough hair to deal with this child for the next 16 or so years!!! 

I don't recall being this much trouble with my clothes...I think the payback is going to the wrong one.  LeAnne is the one who used to cry if the seam on her socks weren't straight across her toes, if her shirt wasn't tucked in just right with no wrinkles, or what her hair looked like...NOT ME!!  I need a break...I always came home looking just like I did when I left for school in the morning, bow and all.  Not like Haley who would be lucky to have a bow in her backpack or stains on her clothes.  Why am I having to deal with this and already having to deal with this.  I thought I would have at least a few more years!  Help me...what am I going to do?!  This kid doesn't even know her colors that well and she is already telling me that her bows don't match!!!

Whew I feel a little better now...got any advice (Drea??? Anyone??)  My mom thinks it is funny, of course she does...she agrees with Sis Sherrill!  Laugh all you want but this is absolutely absurd!!!

Day 3 of 9

going to bed...

Got up at 930 am and so much for being productive today cause we were way worse than yesterday!! What is it about cold weather that just makes you completely lazy?! I just didn't want to get out from under the covers!!



Go ahead and criticize but Wilkins and I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful lazy day in our pajamas!!

Day 2 of 9...

Well, today is day #2 of my vacation and it turned out to be not as productive!!  It was rainy and dreary...just one of those days where you just want to lay around and watch tv.

*I got up at 830 and Wilkins slept until 930 so I had an extra hour to myself (to do nothing of course)!  She woke up with the same thing on her mind that she went to bed with last night...the matching pajamas that she thought didn't match!!  So I quickly ended that dramatic spat by putting her some clothes on...ha nip that one right in the butt!!

*Mom and I ended up running to Walmart (again of course) which Wilkins thinks is the greatest place in the world next to Disney World of course.

*We then decided we were hungry (we didn't leave the house until after 12) so me, mom, and Wilkins went to Red Lobster for lunch (Sorry Haley...you are still stuck on bed rest). 

*Then on to JoAnn's Fabric to pick out some stuff for mom to make for the little ones (Addy, Lucas, Logan, and Wilkins) outfits for our Disney trip without their parents (again sorry Haley :{).  Spent a lot of time in there and then when we went to pay it came up to almost $200...whoops gotta be something wrong.  I mean we love to by material, ribbon, and beads but there is an error somewhere!!  Yep the woman who cut the fabric put 25 yards instead of 2.5...problem solved and crisis averted!!!

*We got home about 4 and did absolutely nothing the rest of the evening (Mom and Kelsey went to church).  I groomed Wilkins aka gave her a bath, washed her hair, clipped her fingernails and toenails, and then painted her fingernails hot pink...her choice not mine!! 

*She hasn't taken a nap all day so we are now watching Aristocats and soon to be asleep.

Hope everyone has a good Sunday and maybe I will be way more productive tomorrow than I was today!!

Day 1 of my 9 day vacation...

So my plan for my vacation is to get caught up on some stuff...cleaning out closets, getting rid of clothes, toys, etc and just doing some basic spring cleaning.

*Started it by sleeping until 10am...absolutely wonderful!!

*Wilkins and I had a chocolate poptart...I washed some clothes and she watched cartoons. 

*We had Papa John's pizza for lunch and we both took a 2 hour nap...equally as wonderful as sleeping late!

*We then went to Walmart with mom (bought more than what I had originally went for) and to Chick-fil-a for dinner.  We stopped by Haley's house to see Levi and drop off Haley's prescription that we picked up for her.

*Dealt with Wilkins having a MAJOR breakdown over the shirt that went with her pajamas (she didn't think it matched)!!  Also dealt with the next breakdown about 30 minutes later about the same stupid shirt that DOES match!  And dealt with the LAST meltdown about 15 minutes later when she remembered she had on the same shirt!!  Yes three different times about a shirt that she is gonna sleep in that no one is going to see!!  But I guess you can blame it on me because she loves pajamas as much as I do...I just think that it is so sweet to have cute little pajamas.  I am sure one day she will be like me and sleep in a old tshirt and a pair of pajamas pants but until then I will deal with the drama when she thinks she has the wrong shirt on!!  LOL!!

All and all it was a wonderful first day of a very wonderful and productive vacation...  I forgot to mention that this vacation is helping me get ready for our Disney vacation starting on April 6th...WOOHOO!!

How about another post....

So I am sitting here in the hospital (half zombie like cause I went to work at 5am)...

Haley is laying in the bed (bored and ready to go home of course)!  I am joined by Kelsey, LeAnne, mom, and Wilkins...just us girls (the way we like it...lol)!! 

Our excitement is watching everytime this crazy machine takes Haley's blood pressure...we look and hope that it is gonna get lower but every single time we are slapped in the face with reality!!  Last one 169 over 97...

Wilkins is rolling all over me and everyone else...how much fun can a 2 year old have in a hospital room. 

Where in the world would we be without laptops and cell phones...I think the boredom would be intolerable then!!

On the good note (or could be bad if I have to babysit) I am officially on vacation for 9 days!  My plan is to go through Wilkins' clothes and mine...out with the old, in with the new.  Getting ready for the warmer weather...woohoo!!  If I have to be in a hospital the entire time I might just snap though...lol!  You will not, however, see me enter one CB the entire 9 days...I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE SO DON'T ASK...sorry!!

Again nothing exciting going on...oh wait here goes the blood pressure machine again....
