This time four years ago...

...I had been in the hospital almost 12 hours!! Don't get me wrong...I wasn't in labor the whole time but I was induced at about 11 am on a Thursday!

I remember being so upset because I wasn't ready. I had already been on bedrest for about 3 months and was going to the doctor one to two times a week. My mom was suppose to be taking me to Babies-R-Us to get the baby bed.

But she had a different plan (and still does!). My blood pressure was to high and the amniotic fluid around her was low so the doc sent me straight to the hospital to be induced!! Just a warning...always eat before you go for a checkup because you never know what will happen. I remember asking my doctor if I could go grab something to eat because I hadn't even had breakfast...nope! I remember begging my mom on the way to the hospital to please just go thru a drive-thru...nope! So I starved!!

They broke my water around 11am and that was one of the longest days of my life. Luckily I had a really good nurse who let me eat grape popsicles all day long!! Literally, I probably had an entire box of popsicles...I was starving!!

LeAnne, Haley, mom, and myself had some pretty good laughs waiting it out. We were hoping she would have been born on May 1st because that is my granny's (Helon) birthday and thought it would be neat considering that I was born on my great grandmother's (Ester) birthday.

I should have known that she would end up being stubborn considering that she didn't get here when we were hoping. In fact, after being at the hospital all day and all night, LeAnne and Haley left the hospital at 4:30am to go home. They had husbands to get to work and kids to get to school and wouldn't you know 30 minutes after they left she was getting pretty anxious to enter this big ol' world.

On May 2, 2008 at 6:27am my little 5lb 12oz, 18 1/2in little girl entered the world. With her big blue eyes wide open looking curiously around with only myself and my mom there to welcome her, changed my life forever.

And I finally got to eat! I thoroughly enjoyed a McDonald's sausage, egg, and cheese McGriddle!! YUM! YUM!

Planning Wilkins' 4th Birthday Party

Wilkins has decided that she wants Lala Loopsy theme which I thought would be super simple...NOT!!

I am having to look on etsy and pinterest to come up with ideas because I haven't been able to find it in any party store. Wilkins is so excited about having a birthday party it is hilarious. Her first two birthdays were in Disney World (so nothing special, right?!) and last year her birthday party had to be cancelled due to the tornadoes so this is really the first time she has had a birthday party.

Tonight she started giving me a list of things for her birthday party:

-A Princess cake
-Mickey Mouse cups
-box w/plastic wheels
-princess bag
-Mickey and Minnie little house
-motorcycle
-trampoline
-toy house outside
-a big car that she can drive everywhere even to mammy's house

It took Aunt Haley telling her that she was gonna get her some sparkle Sketchers to figure out that the shoes she wants is Twinkle Toes which translates to "box w/plastic wheels". The box has "peace" signs on it. She is hilarious!! Me, Haley, and mom broke out in laughter when we realized what she was talking about!!

Our Vacation...lots of pictures

We are back from Disney and I am back to reality...(unfortunately)!!

My (our) trip started off a little rocky...Tuesday night I am sitting at home, watching tv when I get a text from mom saying they had just landed in Florida! I was so super jealous...my family was in Florida and I was still in Tennessee not leaving until the next morning. About 30 minutes later I receive a phone call from mom saying that grandaddy was unresponsive and there was an ambulance on the way. So I talk to Kyle and Scott and they were both on their way to grandaddy's house. I tell them to keep me informed. Uncle Herbie calls and asks me if I want to ride down with him and Aunt Sheila but I don't know what to do because I have a flight to catch at 7am. I try calling my mom, Haley, LeAnne, and dad but no one answers. At this point all I know is what Kyle has called and told me which is grandaddy is awake and talking and he recognized everyone. So I don't know what to do. I, unfortunately, find out what it is like to be hundreds of miles away from all of my immediate family and not be able to get a hold of anyone...I DON'T LIKE IT! I am used to being able to get a hold of mom, LeAnne, or Haley at all times or at least being able to drive five minutes down the road to their house (except for LeAnne, now). Either way I finally talk to mom and decide to just wait til the morning to see what they say about grandaddy. I got up at 5am expecting to see a text from someone letting me know what is going on but NOTHING! So I call and wake up mom to find out everything is ok for now...so off to Disney we go!!

After a short plane ride to Atlanta to switch planes, off to Orlando we go...finally arriving in Orlando about 1PM. We finally get to our hotel (exhausted) to find everyone waiting on us to go to Magic Kingdom!! And all I want to do is SLEEP!!! But we don't of course!
